Russian Iconography Workshop - Holy Apostles

Holy Apostles Orthodox Church in Columbia, SC is teaming up with staff from the Prosopon School of Iconology in New York to present a week-long class in iconogaphy.

The course will run from January 23 to January 29, 2011, and is designed for both novices and advanced students.

The cost of the course is $750, with a deposit of $400 required by October 31, 2010. Space is limited.

USC Public Lecture Series

The Univeristy of South Carolina is offering a free public lecture series this fall. The intent of the series is to offer thought-provoking lectures that encourage the community to think about the importance of, and problems with, civil discourse and how these problems can be resolved.

As part of the series, Dan Buxhoeveden will be presenting his lecture, "Science and Religion in Dialogue," at 7pm on Monday, October 11, 2010 at the Gressette Room, Harper College, University of South Carolina in Columbia.

All lectures are free and open to the public.
